Vitec® 3000 Antiscalant/dispersant, canister 20 kg
Vitec® 3000 is a proprietary liquid antiscale and dispersant specially formulated to inhibit scale formation and disperse colloidal particles in cellulose acetate and thin film membrane separation systems. Certified by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) to ANSI/NSF 60 for use in potable water production, this formulation is compatible with organic coagulants that may be present in municipal feed water or as a result of coagulation or flocculation before a reverse osmosis system. Vitec® 3000 can be applied neat or diluted to a wide range of feed water sources.
Application:
For optimum performance, Vitec® 3000 should be injected after the media filters and before the cartridge filters.
Method of application and dosage:
A typical dosage range is 2 to 5 ppm. The dosage for a specific application can be determined using the Avista Advisor computer program. Contact Avista Customer Service for individual dosing instructions.
Dilution:
Vitec® 3000 should be diluted with demineralized water or reverse osmosis permeate. If these water sources are not available, softened water can be used. Dilutions should not exceed 1% by weight (dilutions below 10% by weight must use DI quality water) to maintain the effectiveness of the internal bacteriostat which suppresses bacterial growth in the drum and feed hopper.
