Amberlite™ MB20 H/OH is a mixture of polydisperse cationite and anionite designed for industrial water demineralization systems. The high kinetic characteristics and exchange capacity of the MB20 H/OH components provide excellent results both in small laboratory installations and in industrial deionized water production systems.
Main fields of application
- medical institutions
- pharmaceutical production
- microelectronic production
- laboratories
- steam boilers, autoclaves
- biotechnological production
Main advantages
- high degree of deionization (electrical conductivity usually reaches 0.1 μS/cm)
- low consumption of water for washing filters
- effective removal of silicon and carbon dioxide
- high homogeneity and constant quality regardless of the batch of the product
- mechanical and chemical stability of the components, which guarantees a long service life
Mechanism of work
MB20 H/OH is a ready-to-use mixture of cationite (dark grains) and anionite (light grains). It allows to achieve the mode of primary washing of the resin with minimal water consumption. For polishing water with an input conductivity of no more than 10 μS/cm, an electrical conductivity of << 0.1 μS/cm with a neutral pH is usually achieved.
Usually, the spent mixture is thrown away and replaced with a new one. In some water treatment systems it is possible to use Amberlite™ MB20 H/OH in mixed action filters. In such installations, it is necessary to separate the layer into cationite and anionite by reverse water flow, after which these components can be regenerated separately.
