This valve is connected to a special connector of the control valve of the filter. When one of the filters goes into regeneration mode, the control valve sends a signal to the three-way valve to shut off the flow of water from the filter being regenerated. At this time, the flow of purified water is redirected from the filter, which is in filtration mode, ensuring uninterrupted supply of purified water.

This mechanism allows the DUPLEX system to work efficiently even during peak loads, when water demand is greatest.
